We are happy to announce the next major version of MERLIC, MERLIC 4, will be released February 15, 2019. This new version is the successor of MERLIC 3 and comes with exciting new features:
Process integration: MERLIC 4 can communicate with common industrial protocols like EtherCAT, PROFINET, and many more via the Hilscher PC cards.
Redesigned tool flow: The redesigned tool flow in MERLIC 4 provides users with an even clearer and more intuitive user interface. Parallel strands and buttons allow for multiselection, copying & pasting, as well as moving and deleting elements easily.
Parallel processing: Different image processing tasks can now be solved in one instance, e.g., checking bar codes and lot numbers.
3D vision with height images: With MERLIC 4, users will be able to, e.g., read embossed text, count boxes, and inspect ball grid arrays, boards, wafers, and dies.
